What is PM-KUSUM?
PM-KUSUM is a government initiative launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) to promote the use of solar energy in India’s agricultural sector. The scheme is designed to reduce farmers' dependence on diesel and grid-based electricity by solarizing agricultural pumps, and encouraging the installation of decentralized solar power plants on barren or unused farmland.
The scheme is divided into three components:
- Component A: Installation of decentralized grid-connected solar power plants (up to 2 MW) on barren or fallow land.
- Component B: Standalone solar-powered agriculture pumps for irrigation, especially in areas with limited grid access.
- Component C: Solarization of existing grid-connected agricultural pumps, reducing the dependence on subsidized electricity.

Subsidy Support & Documentation Assistance
We help eligible farmers navigate the MNRE subsidy process, including application filing, documentation, and approvals—making it easy and transparent.
